Founded in 2019, MackinawOde is an Indigenous led Water Protector Collective that helps raise awareness about the dangers of Line 5 and other environmental threats throughout the Great Lakes.
As protectors of Mother Earth, Indigenous communities advocate for using our natural resources sustainably. MackinawOde educates the public on oil pipelines and other issues impacting Indigenous people and culture through media, policy decision making, and community engagement. We strive to ensure that Indigenous people have authentic and appropriate representation to reflect who we are and our way of life.
We utilize our panel of Indigenous experts to convey our traditional teachings to make our world more sustainable for the next seven generation and beyond. Whether its is a speaking engagement or classroom setting. We can offer you an Indigenous perspective to these sort of environmental concerns.
We were founded on protecting our waters. Whether it is oil pipelines, PFAS contamination or other water issues. As protectors of Mother Earth, Indigenous communities advocate for using our natural resources sustainably.
We advocate for Indigenous Treaty Rights, as they go hand in hand with protecting our environment. For without clean water and land, our wild harvest would be contaminated. Need to hear our perspective? We are here. We can help with policy making as well for both Indigenous and non Indigenous organizations.
We prescribe to the Indigenous concepts about Natural Law.
